Description of home:
Near 4000 square foot home built in 2004 in my parents back-yard. My favorite brother lives next door and my amazing sister (that everyone wishes was thiers) lives just up the road. We have a very nice, beautiful home that suits our needs very well. I don't love talking about all the bells and whistles, because I've learned that it really is love that makes a house a home, (I'm not trying to sound corny - that's just REALLY what I believe ... but I'll list some of the ammenities that we enjoy. Beautiful hard wood floor, a large great room (gathering place) with surround sound. An awesome kitchen with a VERY large island with an extra vegetable sink. All stainless steel appliances and INSTA-HOT ... that's instant hot water (212 degrees) that great for hot choc., soups, preparing things like instant potatoes or jello, etc. Large master suite with oversized jetted tub and seperate shower. Walk in closet, double sinks, etc. A really cool mud-room (just off of the garage) with a main floor laundry and an indoor (refrigerated) drinking fountain. A large deck (with stereo sound) and patio in the backyard with LOTS of grass and mature fruit trees. Oversized two car garage.
Description of area:
Small town living in a custom built home - centrally located in the middle of Utah. Easy free-way access; 20 - 25 minutes south of Provo and only an hour drive from SLC. We are VERY near the mouth of a canyon, so the mountains are accessible by car (scenic NEBO loop) and foot (one of my favorite walking routes from our front door. Great for recreating, climbing, camping, fishing, back-packing, etc. Temples, skiing, museums, zoo, aquarium, theatres, etc. all within an hours drive. Thanksgiving Point and Seven Peaks Water Park (within 35 minutes). Santaquin is a small community famous for its locally grown fruit, thus we celebrate "Orchard Days" annually the first weekend in August. The Red Barn features locally grown fruit and produce and home-made icecream that is to die for. A tractor ride during harvest time is fun for everyone... you can even pick your own pumpkin!
